The museum of me by Intel

Museum of Me is a brilliant online project from Intel that turns your Facebook profile into a virtual museum with the click of a button.
Simply authorize the Museum of Me app to access your Facebook profile and it will pull your photographs, pictures of friends you frequently interact with, your location and other data that you may have shared on Facebook and turns everything into an impressive animated movie.
This is much like taking a walking tour of a virtual museum where all the rooms and galleries display exhibits that are you own.

If you have a Facebook profile, this is something you should not miss.

Holi - Festival of Colors 2012

The festival of Colors is a celebration of Spring and the triumph of good over evil, on the eve of the full moon falling in late February or March, by people in India and other countries with large Hindu populations, as well as other religions. The biggest one happens in the  Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah.  This is held over two days and estimates from this year (2012) claim nearly 80,000 attended over the two days.

It must be fun spending time just throwing colored powder and water at each other.. don't you think?

"Every year, Hindus greet the turn of winter into spring with a splash of color - in some areas, a geyser of color. They call their celebration the festival of Holi, and Hindus across India and throughout the world share prayer, camaraderie, special food, and a general sense of mischief as they douse each other in dyes and colored water. The large festival has roots to many Hindu legends associated with the triumph of good over evil. One of the best-known stories tells the tale of the demoness Holika, who tried to kill Prahlad, the son of the demon king Hiranyakashyap, for refusing to worship his father. Instead, Holika is consumed in flames, which is replayed each year with bonfires and effigies, before the celebrants break out the hues and cries of the festival" in boston.com

What is a Boudoir?

Boudoir pieces secrets

"In the romanticism or eras gone by, a boudoir typically was the space every self respecting lady had. It was her private room of alluring intrigue, either a bedroom, sitting room, dressing room or bathing room. Maybe a combination of all those rooms. The boudoir was where she aroused curiosity and entertained intimate friends and lovers. This seductive and sensual room often had locked doors and was filled stylishly with opulent furniture. A boudoir was a woman's confidential space which other people could only enter by invitation"

"The word Boudoir comes from the French verb bouder, which means "to pout" or to "to sulk". Thus, a woman who was feeling sulky or indisposed could retire to her boudoir or "sulking room" until she felt in a better disposition. It was also a place where she retreated to and nurtured herself as some boudoirs were also fitted out with elegant bathing vessels and opulent chandeliers, mirrors and sensuous furs. The traditional decor style of a boudoir was tended to focus on Renaissance and French inspired bedroom styles. In recent times it has also been used to describe the country cottage style with whitewashed-style walls, large and heavy bed furniture, and deep bedding"

So, this blog is just that, a selective place with good taste. A place that should reflect who I am intimately, a place that allows my lifestyle essence to shine, but at the same reveals my intellect. In this place I have complete creative licence to play - from art to photography, from travel to thoughts... but always with glamour and taste!

Sejam bem-vindos, ao meu Boudoir pieces!

So, welcome to my Boudoir pieces!

The most awkward.. perfect places to read

I can´t resist a good book, so usually I invest a long time searching about subjects such as: book, places to read, libraries.. So, I had colected a long amount of pictures that shown the most awkward, but certainly perfect, places (spots) to read.

Love Letter to New York: Classic Life Photos

The monuments and the museums, the pulsing crowds on Fifth Avenue, opera at the Met and stickball in Spanish Harlem, sardines on the subway and the romantic urban vistas of Central Park: Over the years LIFE’s photographers explored every corner of New York, the city the magazine always called its home.

From the countless images of the Big Apple stored away in its unparalleled archives, LIFE here presents a small selection of classic black-and-white photos that show off the the spirit, the architecture, the culture (high and decidedly low) of Gotham — visual testaments to a city that, through darkness and in light, remains one of a kind.
